Custom Leatherwork Process & Pricing

I know just how much custom leatherwork prices can vary & I believe in transparency, so I’m including a general price list as a starting point.

I have tried to set my business up with customers in mind. Nobody likes having to reach out to ask basic pricing questions, nobody likes sticker shock & nobody likes being unsure of the process. So let’s fix that. I’m including as much information here as possible for you to peruse at your leisure, but please also keep in mind that I don’t mind questions at all & until you pay a deposit, there’s no commitment or pressure from me to order.

THE PROCESS:

Have something cool you want made? Great!

Step 1. We talk. I ask questions, you tell me what you want, I probably ask some more questions. I give you a price & time line. ( Standard turn around time is 8-12 weeks but depending on a dozen factors, that could be more or less). If you have a budget you’d like to stay within, just let me know & I’ll let you know what we can do with that.

Step 2. If you’re ready to move forward, I’ll send you an invoice for a deposit. Please keep in mind that typically 50-100% is due up front, but the full amount must be paid before I hand it over to the customer. If you would like to discuss payment options, just let me know & we’ll see what we can do.

Step 3. Some orders will require a mock up. This is where I roughly draw up your design so you can see the composition. Please understand that drawing a design is roughly a third to a half of the labor of a project and therefore, I do not start this part until a deposit has been made. I am happy to rework a design up to 3 times. If you still do not love it at this point, I will either charge an additional design fee to move forward, or more than likely, will refund your deposit (minus a design fee) & refer you to a different artisan who I believe would be a better fit for what you want.

PRICING

Please keep in mind that these are general ballpark prices to give you an idea of cost. There are many factors that are considered in a final price such as size, complexity, design, materials, ect.

Tooled — $250+

Half & Half — $225 +

Men’s Roper:

Stamped — $200 +

Tooled — $300 +

Half & half — $250 +

Belts: (priced by design, complexity & size)

Stamped — $ $200+

Tooled — $ 500 +

Pancake knife sheath:

Stamped — $ 60

Tooled — $75+

Portfolio: ~$250 - $600

Welder Arm Pad:

Plain — $200
